Executive Director, Pharmaceutical Development

Dr. Min Xia joined AiViva BioPharma in 2024 as the head of pharmaceutical development. Dr. Xia has more than 27 years of industry experience in applied research, analytical development, quality control and regulatory affairs, has played critical roles in bringing drug candidates to approval and commercialization. In her current position, she is responsible for overseeing all Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) activities to support AiViva’s IND-enabling programs and IND submissions in dermatology, oncology, and ophthalmology.

Prior to joining AiViva BioPharma, Dr. Xia was a Senior Vice President of R&D, CEO and Head of R&D at Alan Laboratories where she was responsible for product development, analytical development, quality and regulatory affairs, which led to approvals of two generic drugs.  In addition, Dr. Xia has progressive experience at Orexigen Therapeutics, Par/Anchen Pharmaceutical Companies Inc., Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc., and ActivBiotics Inc.  Based in Toronto, Canada, she also provided leadership at TorPharm (a subsidiary of Apotex, Inc.), and Patheon Inc. 

Dr. Xia earned a PhD degree in Chemistry from University College Cork, Cork, Ireland and a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Fudan University, Shanghai, China.
